Heroes come in many forms! There can be no greater gift than the giving of oneself so that
others can have a chance at a better life.

Amanda helped save the lives of many at Spartanburg Regional Hospital (ER).

Later became an agency nurse at St. Francis Hospital. Her story doesn't end there

because when her life ended others began a new. Amanda was an organ donor as

many people received her organs and tissues. What a wonderful gift she was to many

that knew her and to those that didn't know her but received her organs.

Amanda loved life and all that it offered her. She graduated from Mauldin high school, started her beautiful family of three. Went to Greenville Tech and became a registered nurse. Her carreer began with Spartanburg Regional Hopsital ER. Later married Kent Middleton and was so very happy.  In fact, it was the happiest I've ever seen her. Our phone calls and conversations of Kent. I knew right away she'd met the man of her dreams. She finally had the beautiful family she always dreamed of. She left Spartanburg Regional Hospital and became an agency nurse at St Francis Hospital for the 8th floor. With dreams of moving to Ashville and picking up her career as a registered nurse there.  She had so many plans, goals, and huge dreams for the future. Amanda loved her job as a nurse and loved working with the sick, the injured and all those in medical need. She loved her family over everything and everyone. Amanda was a "great mother" and "loving wife" who lived more in her all-too-short lifetime than most people do in two.

Time Line

1980- lots of laughter, tears, smiles, friends, simply experiencing life and all it's ups and downs. loved her family Michael, Dena, Angela, Amy, April, Michael, (her beautiful babies) Rebekah, Kendel, Haley, husband - Kent Middleton, and all her friends. She was baptist in faith; loved going to church. Amanda was a very unique type person, no one can ever take her place. The loving and caring person that she was, if you were down she would be there to help pick you up. She had a very loving and tender soul. She took her school classes and studing very seriously. She wanted to prove to everyone that she could have a great career.  She was an inspiration for so many as she found her calling and purpose. She embraced life and all it ups and downs. The world was a beautiful place with Amanda in it -2008

Her shoes

If anyone were to ever try and fill her shoes they'd have to buckle up and hold on tight, and love speeding through life for I can't remember Amanda having many fears, she never held back as she pushed forward in life she let nothing get in her way of her goals and dreams.

Absent

To be absent from the body
is to be present with the
Lord

You are at peace now

Now you can rest and enjoy heaven...
Dance, laugh, and sing
with the other angels...

 The Broken Chain

Imagine

That the stars above
are really the souls
of your loved ones
keeping watch over
us all through
the night.

Amanda is like a daughter to me. This pain I feel is so deep,

I felt so close with her and loved all the times we shared together.

Learning to deal with a loss of a child is more than my heart can take.

I lost a dear friend/daughter and Heaven gained a very special angel.
Not a day goes by that I don't think of her.

I hope she knew just how much she meant to me.
I wonder can she hear me when I talk to her.
Dear Lord, won't you please give Amanda a Kiss for me!!!

    Susan
